France textile: Product code

In France, for Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) reporting, you are required to assign a product category code that corresponds to the type of product you’re selling. This code is built by combining several hierarchical components.

EPR code structure:

category + subcategory1 + subcategory2 + subcategory3 + subcategory4 + subcategory5

1. Select the reporting country

For example: FRA (France)
This code is used in reporting headers but is not part of the final product category number.

2. Choose a category

This defines the broad material/product type.
Example:

Textile → Code: T

3. Choose subcategory1

This represents a general product group under the main category.
Examples:

• Clothing → A
• Footwear → C

4. Choose subcategory2

This defines the product audience or purpose.
Examples:

• Adult women → 003
• Bed linen → 009

5. Choose subcategory3

This provides the most specific product type.

• Dresses → 07
